| Underground Railroad Film Series |
| Using the metaphor of a series of strategically located “Safe Houses” the Underground Railroad is a series of intimate screenings which take place in various Seattle homes, community organizations, churches, libraries and other small venues. Each of these venues hosts a screening of a unique film from the African American perspective. Designed to introduce these small independent films to communities that would otherwise not be exposed allows for intimate post screening discussion, facilitated by a community member. Offered monthly in collaboration with neighborhood groups. The route of the Underground Railroad is a progressive culture-sharing activity that leads to ‘freedom’ culminating at the Festival. |
